Zero Percent Vacancy-FINALLY!

So yesterday, I executed a lease on our last vacant rental house. F-I-N-A-L-L-Y !!It's about time

This rental house wasn’t actually vacant for very long but the previous tenants moved into another house of ours that was vacant for close to 8 months (!!!)

The tenants (a boyfriend/girlfriend team) are young but look good on paper. Yesterday, when I met them, they kind of reminded me of this guy but not as bad. But I guess this IS central Florida. I’m sure it’s not like some parts of the state (I’ve always said that north Florida is actually south Georgia) but the percentage of rednecks here is pretty high for where it is in Florida.

Anyway, time will tell whether these people will work out. For now, I’m just happy that we now have no vacancies.

Congrats on the 100% occupancy. It will be cool to see how long you can keep that going.

    Thanks Derek,
It WILL be interesting to see how long it lasts since the rental market here is still so soft. Thanks for the comment though!

Good for you! I imagine that was a looong eight months.

    Trisha,
It was a long 8 months but you don’t know the half of it. I’m actually still stuck with one foot in my other job and the asses (no pun) I have to deal with there…

Imagine not being able to walk away with middle finger held high because you have multiple mortgages to pay….ya, it sucked!

I’m working on it though….fear not.
