How Not To Inquire About A Rental Property

Ok, so I understand that there all kinds of people in this world and tolerance is essential to getting along with said people, but I mean COME ON….

A recent voicemail received of an inquiry to rent one of our rental properties:


Total Hick
(read in your best Larry The Cable Guy voice)

Caller: ” Yeah uh…. my name’s Larry (not his real name) and I’m on uh…….[street name deleted] avenue. You got a For Rent sign up ‘ere. Gimme a call at [phone number deleted] and let me know what you want. Thank ye. Git ‘er DUNNN!”

Ok, I made that last sentence up but, yeah, thanks for calling “Larry”……N-E-X-T!

    We had a similar character call once when we had our House 1 for rent. He proceeded to tell us he’d been kicked out of multiple rentals for non-payment, but his situation has improved since then. However, he was still being kicked out of his current place. Oh, and, he has a frisky pit bull that goes with him everywhere. Yeah, that’ll happen.
